one of few to inquire about his work ; an almost genuine interest had caught him off guard. screams die slowly as hands cease mechanical work, eyes drifting to the chair he has her fastened to. in his mind, he had killed her in a hundred ways, but no one seemed sweet enough for one such as herself. he could have her torn to shreds by trauma – or, send her to meet laura. too many possibilities to simply settle. bloodied hands drop to sides, eyes drifting to the smile she wears so freely. it’s… jarring. his victims, his ‘patients’ wear only fear, eyes stricken with grief at the fate that awaits them ; but not her. did she believe her feminine ways would cause his mind to shift, to change ?

she was wholly correct ; so many things are best locked in the back of mind, left to die from neglect. he, however, cowered from nothing – he allowed his past to consume him, used it to drive his purpose. anything to bring her back, to salvage what was left of a scorched husk. she would never fall into silence, her name would always echo in his mind, her laugh, her smile. she was his light, his joy, all that this world had left to him ; a neglectful mother, a dedicated father – and a sister, who to him was the world ; but never to a soul would these words be uttered. eyes narrow, digits twitching at his side. thoughts were entertained long enough – her presence had become little more than an annoyance, and she would be given only one chance to flee this place – lest she lie upon this cold steel table, pried apart until she becomes an unrecognizable pile of skin and organs.
