Villains are not a precious little punching bag that’s going to stand there and take your shit and be sassy with their hand on their hip. If you mess with the bull you get the horns – if you push a villain, you will get the wrath of a villain. If your character is rude/disrespectful to a villain, especially one in a high place of power, and the villain lashes out (whether it be verbally or physically) –
THEN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE UPSET ABOUT IT. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT TO HAPPEN?
Don’t write with villain/cruel/evil characters if you can’t deal with a villain/cruel/evil character being less than nice to your precious cinnamon roll of a character. Surprise! That’s not how this works! If the villain suddenly kills your character without having spoken to you first, then you have absolutely every right to be mad. But if your character receives a verbal lashing or non-lethal physical response that is in character for the villain to give, then you need to deal with it.
I’m also sick of this sense of prerogative way of thinking certain characters hold when it comes to villains. This mindset of, ‘oh this person is evil, bUT OBVIOUSLY THEY’LL LOVE ME AND I’LL BE THEIR SPECIAL SOMEONE THEY WON’T HATE ME OR TRY AND KILL ME.“ NO. STOP THAT. You cannot go into interactions with villains expecting them to absolutely fall in love with your character/be best friends with them. This is why it’s most times excruciatingly difficult to ship/bro-ship with villains. And even if this does happen, you should expect a villain to still be aggressive and/or rude from time to time.
A VILLAIN DOES NOT STOP BEING A VILLAIN JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP.
I’ve written villains for a long time now, and one thing has been made perfectly clear – you will get shit for writing your character tooIC and you will get shit for writing your character too OOC. You will be fucking cursed out for your character being aggressive to those who are rude to them, and you will be blasted for writing them being nice even just from time to time. So fellow villain writers – just let your villain flag fly. Don’t fucking listen to people who try and give you shit either way for your portrayal. To those who do not write villains – respect them. Just because your character is sassy and spunky, doesn’t automatically give them the right to try and be disrespectful to someone who is most likely superior to them.
TL;DR IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN. IF YOU CAN’T DEAL WITH SOMEONE BEING CRUEL TO YOUR MUSE, DON’T WRITE WITH VILLAINS.
Just a fucking friendly tip; the reason people are afraid to write dark, grimy, real shit, is because people make callout posts. because people can’t fucking BEGIN to separate fiction from reality. there’s a difference between condoning activities of characters and being fundafuckingmentally aware that what they do is immoral, lecherous, and disgusting. this? shit like this? is why no one wants to write bad guys ! why rp can be so fucking bland! because this place is a baby pit full of screaming children who will slap a label on you like rapist and pedophile, even when you’ve done no-such-fucking-thing. i hate it. i really, really fucking do.

This is an independent and unaffiliated Roleplay Blog for Ruvik Victoriano of The Evil Within. I am mutuals exclusive, and selective. This means, I will not follow everyone back, and will only roleplay and accept asks from Mutuals. If you send an ask and aren’t a mutual, that’s fine too, so long as it doesn’t require knowledge of Ruben on a deep / friend level. Character asks or ask to me about my character are more than welcome.
I try my best to be reasonable about unfollowing, but I will unfollow if triggers ( eye gore, extreme irl gore, rape ) are not tagged accordingly. I will also unfollow if a blog posts little more than negative posts. I will also no longer write with you if I’ve written you something, and you’ve taken more than a week to reply without communication, but reply to other threads. Talk to me if you’re not feeling something. I don’t want to waste my time waiting for something that may not come. I’ll extend the same courtesy to you. We’re all busy. Sometimes we don't feel a specific thread; I understand that. But communication in roleplay is important.

If you are uncomfortable with these themes, I do tag all forms of nsfw ( sexual, body horror, etc. etc. ) and will have no problems tagging something specific to you within reason. Threads
I try my best to be punctual with threads. You can expect a reply within one week unless I’ve told you otherwise. I am open to Para, Multi-Para and on the occasional Novella, if I have the time. One liners are fine, but I don’t do them too often. I try my hardest to match length, but you by no means have to. I do prefer Icons be used, as there are some expressions that words can’t always capture unless this is your profession.
I will only do NSFW threads with people of the age of 18 and up. I don’t need to put my neck on the line for someone under age who thinks it’s a good idea. It isn’t. You’re perfectly fine to follow me if you’re 16 and up, as I said, nsfw material may not appear often and is always tagged.
Shipping.
Everything done ship wise will be based on chemistry. So long as Chemistry is present, I’m alright with anything. This doesn’t only extend to romantic relationships, but any kind of relationship that may form.
Ruvik is not romantic, in any sense. The only person in his lifetime he had any form of positive emotion toward was his sister, for whom he maintains those safe affections. While I do not ship them romantically ( for my own comfort) it is confirmed canon that Ruvik had a romantic interest in her while she was alive, and possibly holds those feelings now, as well.
Misc.
As always, no god-modding, no metagaming, do not kill my character without asking. I will more than likely only follow those blogs with characters I am familiar with, and I am perfectly fine with Oc's. So long as there's a cohesive story / about page and a rules page, I don't mind original characters one bit.

I'm currently attending University, and work at Gamestop in my town. My hobbies ( aside from homestuck ) include drawing ( which I am awful at ) playing video games, and going out with my friend group. Follows the plot of the original game; Ruben Victoriano, dubbed "Ruvik" is trapped within the STEM system, seeking to escape via Leslie Withers, the only individual that is compatible with him. The world around him is unstable and can change at will, and his abilities grant him total control of everything within this hellish world.
With part of himself still trapped in the STEM system, Ruben finds himself in the small town of Union, as the transformation begins to occur, wherein he meets Sebastian once again. The two form an alliance, albeit a shaky and hesitant one. Ruben and Sebastian work in tandem to find Lily, the Core, and destroy Mobius together. Taking a Chaotic Neutral stance, Ruben can be unpredictable in this New STEM, and can choose either to help or hinder his new partner.

Ruben lived in a family estate alongside his sister and parents, and his family was known to Doctor Marcelo Jimenez for their frequent and hefty donations to Beacon Mental Hospital.
At some point a young Ruben met and talked with the doctor, who had discovered the young boy's research facility, and assured the troubled boy that he was no monster, and that he, too had done things some would consider 'distasteful' in the name of progress. Beyond this, his father was evidently involved in a religious organization of some sort, donating to the church frequently and ignoring the various scandals faced by the institution, something that Ruben frowned upon.
While playing in a barn on their family's property, several men approached and set fire to the building as an act of vengeance against their parents, who had evidently been buying and managing large amounts of land in the area. Laura saved Ruben by pushing him through a small window in the barn, but was unable to get out of the barn herself; Ruben was horrifically disfigured from his burns.
His father then took to hiding the disfigured and mentally traumatized Ruben into the basement of the family manor, apparently without Ruben's mother's knowledge of his survival. She later mentions in a frantic note that despite her husband's assurances that both children died in the blaze, she feels that Ruben was still alive, and claims to have heard his cries coming from the basement. Voices heard as well as a diary entry found in the manor later in the game show she grieved quite deeply over the apparent deaths of her two children. Ruben himself was haunted and deeply disturbed over Laura's death as well as the pain and disfigurement he himself suffered as a result of the blaze.
Some time after the loss of Laura, his own terrible burning, and his essential imprisonment at the hands of his father, Ruben eventually killed both of his parents in their bedroom. Taking control of the manor funds, he continued to 'donate' to Beacon Mental Hospital in exchange for test subjects for his various experiments, and at some point took to working directly with Doctor Jimenez. Henceforth, he seems to be known strictly as 'Ruvik' as opposed to Ruben.
Ruvik continued his experiments on the human psyche and mind for a great while until coming into conflict with his long-term partner, Jimenez, for the latter having published Ruvik's experiments and findings under his own name. The doctor refuted Ruvik's anger over the matter, revealing that Ruvik, though brilliant, was never formally trained and thus would be unable to ever publish material under his own name. Their relationship becoming more and more strained, Ruvik is eventually betrayed by Doctor Jimenez upon the near completion of their primary project, STEM. Several men brought in by the doctor corner and restrain Ruvik, forcing him to become the primary test subject for the STEM-- a project meant to unite minds, feelings, consciousness, and so on into one, felt and experienced by all those linked to the machine. Ruvik's brain was manipulated, probed, and sampled in the same ways he had done to his prior test subjects. His body was then disassembled until nothing but his still-living brain was left, which was then sealed in a container. Recordings made by Ruvik--presumably after this betrayal and the events thereafter-- indicate that he suspected Jimenez of planning this betrayal for a good while, as without Jimenez's help, the agents would never have been able to survive Ruvik's various traps.
In his mental scape, Ruvik contemplated and searched for a means to escape his imprisonment, eventually finding that the Beacon Mental Hospital patient, and Doctor Jimenez's own patient, Leslie Withers, would somehow be the means to return to the physical world. Records and notes left behind by Ruvik indicate that he was perhaps searching for a brain that he could transfer his consciousness into via the STEM. Notes from staff at the hospital involved in the STEM project find that those involved with the project--ranging from patients to those working the machine--eventually slip into a coma, and those who attempt to flee find themselves unable to do so.
Eventually, though it is never quite shown how, Ruvik managed to manifest himself at Beacon Mental Hospital and massacred those within, including police called on scene, as he searched for Leslie. It is this incident that brings Detective Castellanos and his partners to the scene.
