Time.
Time was all it would ever take. Like a the mantis, he was ever full of patience. Those who sought asylum seldom found it but ONE. One untouched by the rabid, ravenous monsters that scour the lands, countless souls trapped in the own torment. Walking, breathing abominations. Yet this one– Always safe. To escape unscathed was miraculous, but, was that not always his intention? To provide salvation to him who was NEEDED? This hellscape would never be left without him. A mind that controls all forbade harm to a young, cowardly boy, afraid and alone in this world.

Leslie was special. And always ran right into his arms. Even now, he stands before Ruvik, in that hunched, nervous posture he had maintained always. Edges were not so callous and rough around dearest Leslie, an assigned vessel to be coaxed now into his new position. A body shared; but a mind dominated by Ruvik himself. There is caution in his approach, steps slow, showing no intent to harm. Not yet.
‘ They’ve all left you again, haven’t they? ’
